Holla!!!

You know when you have really good intentions of doing something and then it just doesn't happen. Yeah, story of my life. Mondays are always super busy. I swear one day I'll get my blogging in line with my life.
So anyways we had a busy weekend.
Friday I hung out with my sister. We were on the hunt for shoes for my other sister's upcoming wedding.
Three hours later and a margarita we had no luck. whomp whomp. So online shopping will fingers crossed come up with something to wear on my feet.
Saturday I was suppose to get up and run but the margarita did me in so no run. Saturday night we had a kids birthday party at a bounce house. The kids ran around like crazy, which was good since we've been stuck inside all winter due to the frigid temps. Picture the monkeys being let out of the cage at the zoo and that would be how the party was.
kids man i ve got four and i love the heck out of each of them but ...

It was great for them to get rid of some of the energy that has been built over the winter.
Sunday we hung around the house and chilled. I hemmed some curtains and blinked and the weekend was over.

So here were my goals from last week:
Sunday - Rest - Totally on top of that.
Monday - Strength Done
Tuesday - Spin/leg strength Done
Wednesday- Run Done - fastest 5k ever
Thursday - Spin/Strength Done
Friday- Cardio something/ Yoga - Rested

This week is busy. I leave next week Wednesday for Texas so I have tons to get ready before then.

What are your goals this week? How was your weekend?

It's Monday.....errr Tuesday!

Hey Hey Hey.....
Sorry for the delayed post. First off my Monday started like this..
I awoke to what sounded like someone spilling water all over the bathroom. My first thought oh no Lil C is having and accident, second thought is Big T is missing the toilet and then I heard another splish, splash.
So I got up and then proceeded to slip in something wet on the floor, but being the good ninja I am I didn't fall. THANK GOD, because it was vomit. Oh lord, not something you want to wake up to in the wee hours of the morning.
My oldest had a tummy ache and ran to the bathroom and the whole bathroom not even joking, towels, shower curtain, all over the floor, the walls, everywhere was covered. Wonderful. Thank you flu fairy for coming on over yet again. After I let all my clients know that I would be closed because of said sickness I was onto the task of cleaning everything. The silver lining was that I had to clean the bathroom anyway. Woohoo...yeah not really.

So needless to say we say around all day yesterday and cudddled, rehydrated and everyone is back to normal today. Thank God!!!

We were suppose to have a babysitter but obviously we weren't going to put anyone else through that torture, so the husband came home and I was off to look for dresses.
Dresses for what you ask? Well my sister got engaged in February (late February), and she wants to get married in July. THIS JULY, so guess what we're pulling together a wedding in 5 mths, you know most people it takes a year to get it all together. Yeah no! So after the bigger things were set into place not onto the other things that need to get done. First off, not to be a negative Nelly but I'm not a dress person. I will wear them but being part of the long torso club it's super hard to find a dress that fits right. So after 4 hrs and 2 stores later she found one she likes. Problem is I realize that I need to workout even harder now.

So here is the real nitty gritty I had to order an 18, because of my "girls". It's fine, really I just thought I was in better shape, and maybe I am. They didn't have a 16 to try on so I couldn't say hey order a smaller size because I know it will fit. Truth is I know I want to lose weight but it really depends on what my body wants me to do. I can work out harder and eat right but if that damn little thyroid doesn't want to work than it doesn't matter. So we'll see. We all know I ran a marathon and didn't lose any weight either. It's just a little disheartening. I get to stand up in a wedding with all these 20 something kids, that have never had kids, that don't get it. I guess for vanity reasons I don't want to look like a big blue whale. I know there are people that are bigger than me and that their are people that are smaller than me too. I should be happy with my progress I know it, but it's hard to wrap my head around it when your covered in chiffon. But looking at the positive or trying to at least my legs look good. LOL

Now onto the keeping on track. Here were my goals for last week (what I actually did in RED):
This week here are the goals
Sunday-Stretches -Did It
Monday- Run 6.25 miles
Tuesday-Spin/weights Spin, Leg strengthing
Wednesday-Run 3 miles
Thursday-Spin/weights Nothing
Friday-Yoga Stretched
Saturday-13 miles fingers crossed 11.5 Miles

Not to shabby. I would have done more miles on Saturday, but holy mother of god it was cold out.
My half is in 2-1/2 weeks so my long runs will start to tapper down.

Here is the goal for this week
Sunday - Rest
Monday - Strength
Tuesday - Spin/leg strength
Wednesday- Run
Thursday - Spin/Strength
Friday- Cardio something/ Yoga
Saturday - Run 9 miles
Sunday - Yoga/ Stretch

So that's the plan. I've been doing really well sticking to my calories. I had upped it to 1500 calories and I'm only starving after a long A run, which is normal and feeling pretty good the rest of the time. I've been trying to limit the sugar intake. This is my downfall. I love sugar, but I need to change something.
I also have been doing more research on what not to eat if you have a putsy thyroid. So no broccoli, strawberries, peanuts, whomp whomp some of my fav's.

What are you doing to stay on track? Are you standing up in a wedding this year?

STL

STL
So I met my home girl Lori and Jennayyy when I went down to Chicago last November. You know how you meet someone and you just connect and it's easy well that's how it was for Lori, Jenni and I. Ever since then we've been trying to find a time for another girls trip. We ended up teaming up with the STL girls and doing some Mardi Gras fun. I got up early and drove down to IL to meet up with Lori and Jenni and after lunch and after I had a mini horseshoe we headed down to STL.
On the road!
We finally made it to the hotel, after walking the mouse maze to find our room, and a scared the girls with my Ramona eyes.

Can't leave home without my Ramona eyes.

We freshened up and off to dinner we went. Per our directions the hotel was less than a mile away from the dinner spot.......well maybe if we were spiderman and we could have leaped some buildings. Either way, after a little bit of  anxiety that we would get mugged, we finally arrived at dinner sweaty and a little late be we got there and everyone was super nice!! We were welcomed with open arms, and not a faker cold shoulder hug. An honest to goodness I'm so glad to meet you hug. We ate some tacos, drank some margaritas, and then were off to the piano bar next door.
What a great group of ladies.
Everyone was so welcoming and nice.
It's hard to get a group of girls together and not have drama, but these girls were super cool.

We bonded with some R. Kelly-Ignition, 50 cent, and Luda!!! We even managed to get some free shots from some random guy. First, who doesn't like free shots and don't worry we were careful the bartender brought them to us, no middle man. Ekkk...

Saturday we all met up in the hotel lobby and headed to Mardi Gras!!!! First thing, it was fun and so warm out. Well for me it was warm. I'll take 35-40 degrees any day, because back at home it was -20. Nice...Untill your holding a collage frat party cup with a hurricane in it. Then I had to bust out the gloves.

So let the fun begin. Pictures, lots of yelling, umm dancing duh, and fun outfits. If I knew it was a theme party I would have dressed up. Lots of gold leggings and furry boots. I loved hanging out with all these people, but I felt like an old woman trying to party at the college mixer. We saw no boobs but a mini weenie hanging from an upstairs window. Ick!!!

After we all decided to pack it in for the day, we all headed back to the hotel to say our good-byes. It was a great time, but we all could have hung out more. We (Lori, Jenni, and I) decided to head back to IL because of an ugly ice strom that was going to hit STL hard. After a nice pasta dinner we were back on the road. I hung out with Lori's family for the night and taught the munchkins some bad habits, did a pedicure, and hid some legos in my mass of hair.

I was on the road again, in the morning and made it back home to my munchkins.

I can't wait to hang out with everyone again. It was such a fun group! It is very hard to get a group of women together and not have drama. There's always someone that doesn't like someone or they just don't gel. Hey, it's ok. We can't all like each other, but the honest to god's truth EVERYONE got along. I tried really hard to talk and dance with everyone I met. I felt like they didn't judge me or hate on me because I can be kind of crazy and foul mouthed when I'm not around my children. We all just got along and it was like we knew each other forever. Such a cool experience!!! Bring on take 2!!!!

Staying On Track

Hey Hey Hey...sorry it's been a hot minute since I wrote. Life as always here has been crazy here. Potty training, a weekend trip away, cold temps, snow, Art shows, and birthday parties.

My little guy, he'll be 3 in April, decided two weeks ago that he wanted to wear undies. I wasn't going to start the potty training process until I came back from my trip, but hey if he wanted to I was willing to.
So after a full day of accidents in undies, he got it. We've had minimal accidents, maybe only 5 since then and he's even night trained. After 9 years of diapers it's pretty great that we don't have to haul them around anymore.
Little B was picked to show her recycled art at a big Art Show so we went and checked that out, and Big T had a bounce house party on Sunday.

Tomorrow I'll have my recap of my shenanigans in STL, but today is my Weekly Goals Link-up with the lovely Carolyn from Fitnasty
